Sandhills East Acquires Spain’s MOMA Agri & MOMA Farm, Broadens Presence In Local Agriculture Equipment Market

MADRID, Spain — April 7, 2017

Sandhills East has acquired MOMA Agri and MOMA Farm, leading resources connecting buyers and sellers in Spain’s agricultural equipment market. The acquisition broadens Sandhills’ already-extensive portfolio of products and services operating within the agriculture, construction, commercial trucking, aviation, and technology industries worldwide.

MOMA Agri and MOMA Farm are print publications distributed by MOMA Editorial, S.L., an agriculture-focused media company founded in 1990. MOMA Agri features for-sale agriculture equipment and parts from sellers across Spain online (www.MOMA.es) and in its regularly distributed print magazines. The two have become the go-to resources for local buyers looking to purchase agriculture equipment as well as farm and ranch materials and products. At the same time, these avenues provide sellers direct access to interested buyers in this niche market.

The acquisition of the MOMA Agri and MOMA Farm businesses and brands builds upon the significant presence of TractorHouse both online (TractorHouse.es) and in print across Spain, Europe, and beyond. “The MOMA Agri and MOMA Farm brands have a strong presence throughout Spain, where they have long served buyers and sellers of agriculture equipment,” explains Sandhills’ Chief Operations Officer Shawn Peed. “The purchase of these brands further strengthens our presence in Spain and provides sellers of agriculture equipment more extensive access to buyers in their markets.”

Listings in the MOMA Farm publication will consolidate into the MOMA Agri magazine, which will become part of the industry-specific publications distributed worldwide by Sandhills Publishing and Sandhills East—the distribution of which exceeds five million publications every month. Listings on www.MOMA.es will be cross-posted on www.TractorHouse.es to reach as many local buyers as possible. The end result gets sellers more exposure across Spain, while enabling buyers to quickly and easily find the equipment they need.

As a subsidiary of Sandhills Publishing, Sandhills East builds on the company's decades-long presence in its core industries. Sandhills Publishing has nearly 800 employees and is based in Lincoln, Nebraska, USA. Its first publication, Machinery Trader, has served the heavy machinery industry since 1978. The company has since added publications and websites reaching the trucking (Truck Paper), aviation (Controller, Executive Controller, and Charter Hub), technology (Computer Power User and CyberTrend), farm equipment (TractorHouse), auction (AuctionTime), and equipment rental (RentalYard) industries, as well as buyers and sellers in international markets (MarketBook).

Sandhills East was established in 2011, quickly expanding to include office locations in Manchester, Peterborough, and Essex, United Kingdom as well as Beaucamps-le-Vieux, France, Madrid, Spain, and Senningerberg, Luxembourg. The company also has offices in Scottsdale, Arizona and Brisbane, Australia.
