Sandhills Publishing Opens Doors To Binary Building On Lincoln, Nebraska Campus

LINCOLN, Nebraska — October 19, 2015

Sandhills Publishing has completed construction on a new IT facility on the company's 68-acre main campus in Lincoln, Nebraska. The 21,000-square-foot office, known as the Binary Building, will open its doors on October 19th, and is part of a larger trend of growth for Sandhills. The additional space, which will house 122 employees, accommodates a growing staff of Web, mobile, and database developers, as well as user interface designers, network administrators, and other IT personnel.

The addition of the Binary Building comes as Sandhills continues to develop products that meet the needs of millions of buyers and sellers worldwide. The company's diverse mix of cloud-based technology services and platform-agnostic mobile solutions helps businesses analyze markets, manage customers and inventory, measure return on investment, simplify workflow, and more. Sandhills has recently turned its attention to organizing existing resources into a single user-friendly platform (known as the Sandhills Cloud), and will continue advancing new products including RentalYard (an online marketplace for rental equipment), FleetEvaluator (an asset valuation tool), and MarketTrends (a market analysis resource that serves a number of industries).

The recent expansion is also a reflection of Sandhills' ongoing commitments to environmental stewardship. Constructed largely of recycled and reclaimed materials, the structure is LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) gold certified by the US Green Building Council. Like the adjacent Data Center (constructed in 2012), the design of the Binary Building includes state-of-the-art technologies that increase water and energy efficiencies using features like light harvesting and motion sensors that control plumbing and electricity. The facility's heating and cooling system utilizes a closed-loop geothermal well field, which is confirmed by the EPA to be one of the most advanced and energy efficient designs in the world.

Sandhills continues to seek candidates for vacant positions in database and software development, including full-time opportunities and internships. For more information, contact human resources, or apply online today.
