What is your primary role at Sandhills?
I am a project manager in the dealer services department. I work directly with our software developers to implement new and innovative products for Sandhills and our customers. On a day-to-day basis, I am mostly involved in overseeing short- and long-term projects, product testing, developing internal workflows, and troubleshooting issues that may arise.
How did your internship prepare you for a full-time position?
Sandhills internships provide a professional work environment where students can learn and develop real-world business skills. The projects completed during my internship allowed for a seamless transition to a full-time position. I also worked closely with a mentor, who provided essential training and assistance throughout my internship.
What’s the most rewarding aspect of your job?
The most rewarding aspect of my job is that I am constantly challenged. At Sandhills, we are always developing new and innovative products for our customers; this requires knowledge about existing products, a vision for the possibilities, and ongoing analysis of these new developments. My job is constantly evolving, which keeps me energized and excited about the next project, and I’ve been given the tools and team to help our company grow and continue to succeed.
