QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience working in data privacy and data protection compliance
• Expertise in data privacy laws and regulations, including working knowledge of state privacy laws and GDPR
• Working knowledge of PCI DSS standards preferred, but not required
• Experience working within a legal, audit, compliance, or risk function department
• Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school and/or privacy certification such as CIPP, CIPM, CDPSE preferred, but not required
• Strong project management skills
• Ability to effectively lead and influence colleagues to ensure they deliver high-quality work and remain motivated;
• Experience in evaluating problems, identifying core issues and recommending suitable solutions
• Ability to work well under pressure and manage sensitive and confidential information
• Detail oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills
• Ability to effectively interact with employees and managers in a team environment and one-on-one
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, with strong attention to detail
• Able to work independently and communicate within a team environment

DESCRIPTION:
The Data Privacy Manager will serve as the primary point of contact within the organization for members of staff, regulators, and any relevant public bodies on issues related to data privacy and data protection matters. This position will work actively with company management, information technology (IT), and legal staff to develop, implement and maintain company privacy policies, guidelines, and data management processes.
The Data Privacy Manager will be responsible for analyzing data privacy regulations, case law and other relevant precedent, and leverage their in-depth understanding to minimize risk to the company’s global operations. The Data Privacy Manager will also be responsible for the development and execution of relevant training, controls and testing/auditing of company privacy policies and processes. Ideal candidates will have experience managing data privacy programs and have a working knowledge of local (U.S. and state), EU and UK data privacy laws and regulations, as well as PCI DSS standards. To be successful in this role, you should have in-depth knowledge of local data protection laws and GDPR and be familiar with our industry and the nature of its data processing activities.
