The MySQL Database Administrator plays a key part in designing industry-leading solutions. In this role you will be responsible for configuring and maintaining the overall health of MySQL environments. This is a position in a highly collaborative environment working with other skilled professionals to continuously improve database architecture and execution.
Responsibilities: Install, configure, update, and maintain MySQL for multiple varying production applications Plan and implement high availabity and disaster recovery solutions Write ad-hoc queries daily to support business users Work closely with application developers to improve performance and troubleshoot issues Proactively look for opportunities to improve data collection, analyze database design and performance Assume other duties as assigned
Requirements: 3+ years of experience working with MySQL providing administration, database design, development, and reporting for enterprise business applications Experience with SQL Server a plus Knowledge/experience with WordPress a plus Solid work experience creating/updating schema, fine tuning indexes, writing complex queries to support cross-functional teams Experience cleaning, merging, and importing data from multiple sources (csv, xml, json) a plus Should have advanced data analysis, validation, and processing skills with a problem-solving attitude Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to share technical knowledge across team Should manage own time and work well both independently and as part of a team
