The Database Administrator plays a key part in developing industry-leading solutions. Responsibilities
Install and maintain MySQL/MS SQL Servers
Hardware/Storage capacity planning
Configure and maintain Windows Cluster/SQL Server AlwaysOn Availability Groups
Plan, manage and optimized SQL server HA/DR policies and procedures
Create/migrate and deploy databases
Create and maintain database backup, maintenance and restore plans
Manage SQL Server and database security
Plan and implement GDPR Compliance
Create automation for repeating database tasks
Monitor and troubleshoot performance related issues
Test disaster recovery scenarios
Export and import data between databases/servers along with file imports
Create tables, views, stored procedures, functions, and report queries
Be available for on-call support as needed
Assume other duties as assigned.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities Preferred
At least 3 years experience in MS SQL database administration
Work closely with a Senior Database Administer
Familiarity with Windows Clusters and Microsoft AlwaysOn Availability Groups
Knowledge of T-SQL execution plans to problem solve along with proper indexing application
Able to be on-call and perform scheduled maintenance during off-hours
PowerShell scripting a plus
