The Collections Specialist will be responsible for correspondence with accounts which have been moved to delinquent status and to apply payments accordingly. This position will also require to work with customers who have filed a request for follow up on a transaction as necessary.

Responsibilities include:
- Initiating outbound telephone calls and emails to accounts to recover payments and negotiate payment schedules
- Collection of returned payments in line with company procedures
- Working closely with other departments within the company to understand payment deficits, and work on strategies to resolve
- Updating databases and following company processes to keep accurate records of customer files

Requirements:
- Proven experience working in a similar collections role is necessary
- Confident telephone manner and strong communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously
- High attention to detail
- Complaint handling skills
